Green Parent 101 at Green Festival

Whether you've been at every Chicago Green Fest or you are just learning about the event, join thousands of local residents to learn and to celebrate greener living in this rocking weekend-long event.

Celebrating what’s working in our communities, the Chicago Green Festival®, a joint project of Global Exchange and Green America, showcases more than 350 diverse local and national green businesses. More than 150 renowned speakers appear for insightful panel discussions and presentations. You’ll also enjoy great how-to workshops, green careers, a Fair Trade pavilion, Youth Unity Pavilion, kids’ activities, delicious organic beer, wine and cuisine, and live music.

Cecelia Ungari of The Green Mama will be talking about Green Parenting at 12 pm on Sunday May 23rd in Room 317.

Learn more about how to feed your family better, avoid toxic toys, simple solutions for better skincare, safe ways to protect against germs, how to get the toxins out of the nursery, and strategies to green up your diaper routine. We'll provide the research on a variety of timely topics of concern to families and provide real-world solutions for instituting change while juggling the restraints of family finances, time, and energy.
