The Green Mama Café: Brain Food and Community For Parents
The Green Mama Café is sponsored by the Elizabeth Archer Patterson Environmental Awareness Program. This popular interactive discussion group provides support and community for parents, expectant parents, or anyone interested in greening their lifestyle. You can register for one or both series of sessions, register for one or both workshops, or pay a $10 drop-in fee for a single session.
Series 1: Green Parenting
Sessions are listed in order; session 1 is Sept. 16, etc.
1. Detoxify your child’s nursery, bedroom and playroom
2. Organic and creative discipline with special guest - Darcie Price-Wallace, LCSW
3. Potty train earlier and green your diaper routine with green mama helper Bridget Muldoon
4. Feeding babies and young children better: introducing first foods, making your own baby food, what foods to buy organic and where to find affordable organics
5. Alternative health and your child: chiropractic, acupuncture, herbs, homeopathy and vaccinations with special guest Jen Paschen
6. Workshop: Homemade personal care products for the whole family

5. Feeding families better and eating organic on a budget with special guest Jamie DeCaria of Savorra Cooking Shows
6. Eating for Fertility and Health Workshop with special guests Jen Paschen and Elizabeth Heinz, acupuncturists
Toddler Time available! You’re invited to bring your child age one or older to participate in an Animal Adventures program held in the adjacent animal room and supervised by Ecology Center staff ($10 per session drop in rate); space is limited; reserve a spot early at 847/448-8256.
